Diamonds Class had a very unusual visitor in their class today..... Florence Nightingale!
(Okay, it might have been Mrs Legg in a costume).
The pupils travelled through time with Florence to the 1850s as her apprentice Nurses, and visited Scutari Hospital. They had to work hard to sort the hospital out and care for the poorly soldiers there.
They swept the floors, washed their hands, cleaned the bedding, chased away the rats and changed the bandages on the wounded soldiers. The nurses all wore red sashes to show that they had been trained by Florence.
