At All Saints we use an online piece of software called ‘Tapestry’ to document some of the children’s learning in Reception and Year 1, which is accessed by the website “Tapestry” or the App.
By logging on with a secure username and password you will be able to view some of your child’s observations, photographs and videos at home, and for the first time this year we will also be using Tapestry to set some home-learning challenges.
Tapestry enables you to follow your child’s progress and we can reflect upon their achievements together. It also offers the opportunity for you to add comments in response to your child’s learning at school, as well as upload your own photos and comments. This means that we are able to learn about the activities your child has engaged with outside of school and celebrate their successes with them, often as a whole class. Due to it having so many uses, we do rely on you to access it on a weekly or sometimes daily basis, so that we can keep our communication up-to-date and relevant.
All of the information on Tapestry is stored on a highly secure server, which is monitored closely. E-safety is extremely important to us, and therefore we ask you to provide us with the following information and to sign and return the agreement to show that you understand and will adhere to our guidelines.
