School Led Tutoring Funding

School Led Tutoring Funding

School-Led Tutoring is a ringfenced grant to fund locally sourced tutoring provision for disadvantaged pupils. This could include using existing staff such as teachers and teaching assistants or external tutoring resources such as private tutors or returning teachers. The grant gives schools the flexibility to use tutors with whom they are familiar. The recovery premium grant is part of the government’s package of funding to support pupils whose education has been impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19).

At All Saints we have used our additional funding to allow an increase in hours for some of our existing staff which allows the time to give targeted, individual and small group support to our disadvantaged and SEND pupils. This support is generally in the form of pre and post teach sessions but also it focusses on the individual needs and difficulties that these pupils experience with their learning.

The additional support happens in the afternoons in school tiome.
